Citroën C5 Aircross SUV
Citroëns new car sees the car manufacturer leap into the SUV market with great success. I was lucky enough to take the car through its paces during the weekend. As the car is family orientated, a country road trip seemed fitting.
What you first notice about the SUV is its robust and muscular design, but don’t let that fool you. The car is one of the most comfortable in its class down to Citroëns innovative suspension system. The car glides through country lanes with ease and makes you feel you are seated at a much higher riding position.
The cars striking design certainly turns heads, with its wider proportions and curves which all add to its overall appeal. The interior is a mixture of form and function, a big centre console with clear dials all feel very familiar. My review model had the inductive charge pad in the centre console for phone charging, a nice touch. The centre console screen is really intuitive, with its touch button system you can easily glide between settings. The optional navigation also being very clear and precise.
Overall you have a more than capable vehicle which caters for a variety of situations with ease. Families will like the generous amount of storage and spacious cabin, while young couples will like the variety of options and sleek design choices.
Prices start at a reasonable £25.455 and come in three trim levels.
